Student Checkout:

Students in Kindergarten may check out 1 book at a time

Students in 1st-5th grade may check out 2 books at a time.

The loan period for library books is 14 days.

A book may be renewed for an additional 2 week period unless another student/or teacher has placed a hold on that title.

Students are encouraged to check out books in a variety of genres and interests. Teachers may request that students check out one book within their Lexile Range. The goal of the Media Staff is to support students in locating and borrowing books that they will enjoy as well as learn from.
Overdue, Lost, and Damaged Books:

GES does not charge a fee for materials that are overdue. However, students may not check out any additional books until late book(s) have been returned in good condition.

Books that are lost or damaged must be paid for before students are allowed to check out more books from our Media Center.

Charges for lost/damaged books will be for replacement costs.

If a book that has been lost and paid for is returned in good condition, a refund will be issued.
Parent Checkout Policies

Any parents who wish to borrow books from the GES Media Center may stop by during school hours and request a library number.

Parents may check out up to 5 books from the Media Center and may keep them for up to 2 weeks. We reserve the right to limit books in a series to 1 title for parent checkout so that these materials can be available for other Gators to borrow.
