Meet Our Instructional & Literacy Coaches
Supporting Excellence at Guyton Elementary
At Guyton Elementary School, we are fortunate to have both an Instructional Coach and a Literacy Coach dedicated to supporting our teachers and students. Together, they work alongside educators to strengthen instruction, enhance student learning, and foster a culture of continuous growth.
An Instructional Coach partners with teachers to implement high-quality instructional practices, analyze student data, plan engaging lessons, and provide classroom support. By collaborating with teachers, the instructional coach helps ensure that every student receives rigorous, meaningful instruction that meets their individual needs.
A Literacy Coach focuses specifically on developing strong readers and writers. Through professional learning, modeling lessons, coaching cycles, and literacy support, the literacy coach equips teachers with research-based strategies that help students build confidence and success in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Having both an Instructional Coach and a Literacy Coach allows Guyton Elementary to provide specialized support in all areas of teaching and learning. Their collaborative efforts empower teachers with the tools, strategies, and resources needed to create engaging classrooms where every student has the opportunity to thrive. Together, they are committed to helping our Gators grow academically while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Meet Kate Neidlinger
Instructional Coach
Mrs. Kate Neidlinger proudly serves as the Instructional Coach at Guyton Elementary. A native of Effingham County, Mrs. Neidlinger is passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape her. She and her husband, Jerome, are the proud parents of three boys—Paxton, Emerson, and Grady.
Mrs. Neidlinger enjoys partnering with teachers to strengthen instructional practices, analyze student achievement data, and support meaningful learning experiences for every child. She believes that when teachers are supported, students flourish. Her goal is to build positive relationships, encourage collaboration, and help create classrooms where both teachers and students can reach their fullest potential.

Meet Lee Ann Jenkins
Literacy Coach
Mrs. Lee Ann Jenkins serves as the Literacy Coach at Guyton Elementary. She recently relocated from Alaska for her husband Dwight's career. Together, they have two children, Grace and Haddon.
Mrs. Jenkins is passionate about helping students become confident, lifelong readers and writers. She works closely with teachers to provide research-based literacy strategies, model effective instructional practices, and support literacy growth across all grade levels. She believes that strong literacy skills are the foundation for success in every subject and is dedicated to helping every student develop a love for reading and learning.
